Engineering News-Record has recognized North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia in its 2023 Best Project Awards list. The Medical Center received an Award of Merit in Healthcare for its new single-story, state-of-the-art health care facility. Lochsa Engineering teamed up with the architectural firm TreanorHL, for the 76,000-sq-ft hospital remodel that includes inpatient and outpatient services, a surgical suite, emergency department, lab imaging services, an MRI suite and physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation spaces. The 14-bed facility, brings modern health care to Concordia, Kan., by replacing the outdated 1950’s hospital.
