GLEN DAVIS P.L.S.

Title: Principal
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Education: San Diego City College  |  Grossmont Community College  |  Fresno State University  |  Southern Nevada Community College, Business Administration

Mr. Davis’s analytical nature led him down the path of civil engineering, but it was along the journey that surveying found him, luring him into the discipline of land surveying.

Beginning as a civil engineer technician in the water district for the City of Santee, California, Mr. Davis worked his way into the position of Acquisition Engineer and began writing easement descriptions and obtaining right-of-way acquisitions through real property for proposed water and sewer facilities. This initial move led to the introduction of land surveying and mapping. As San Diego began to boom in the 1980’s Mr. Davis ventured out of the public sector and into private development, still practicing civil engineering, but expanding his skills and excelling in the mapping department. It wasn’t long before he was the Assistant Chief of survey and mapping for a project design consultant and responsible for up to 50 team members at a time.

Mr. Davis made his way to Las Vegas and in 1991 and became the managing partner/owner and one of the founding members of Lochsa Surveying in 2001. Mr. Davis has been instrumental in driving the direction, implementation and administration of civil design, survey mapping, and construction layout services for a wide variety of public and private sector work. With over 28 years of experience, his projects range from master planned communities to multiple mega watt turbine and steam driven power plants, to surveyor in charge of construction for multi-billion dollar hotel/casino resorts. Mr. Davis is credited for the creation and mapping of Las Vegas’ first multi-use residential/commercial/retail 3-D map of its kind necessary for the Las Vegas CityCenter project.
