Civil Designer - Land Development

Role

Lochsa Engineering has an opportunity for a recent Graduate in Civil Engineering to join our land development team. Candidates will play a key role in the design and development of land projects. Our projects portfolio includes multi-family residential, commercial  industrial, and community projects. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including grading, drainage, and site layout  under the guidance of senior staff and Project Manager.
  • Prepare technical documents, drawings, and calculations under the guidance of senior staff and Project Manager.
  • Conduct site assessments and gather data to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and permit applications.

Requirements

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Engineering Intern (EI) certification.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is a     plus.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude with a strong desire to grow within the field.
  • U.S Citizen, U.S Resident with valid green card, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
