Assistant Project Manager - Land Development

Role

Lochsa Engineering has an opportunity for a qualified Assistant Project Manager to join our land development team. Candidates will support the planning, execution, and management of various development projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Our projects portfolio includes multi-family residential, commercial  industrial, and community projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop comprehensive civil designs that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of land development projects, including site assessments, permitting, and project scheduling.
  • Develop detailed civil plan sets for land development projects, including grading, drainage, and utility designs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and contractors as directed by the project manager.
  • Track project progress, manage timelines, and update stakeholders on project status.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the project manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Engineering Intern (EI) certification.
  • Professional Engineer’s License in the State of Nevada preferred
  • 5+  years of experience in civil engineering design, specifically within land development.
  • Strong understanding of land development processes, including permitting and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • U.S Citizen, U.S Resident with valid green card, or legally authorized to work in the U.S
